Use your key

After you make a bitcoin private key you will want to use it to receive and send bitcoin.  This step requires the use of technology as the methods to generate public keys and addresses require computational power.  With care you can minimise risks by staying offline and using simple and trusted methods, such as the four outlined below.

Feel free to contact us at any time to discuss options.

01

Offline SeedSigner

SeedSigner is an air-gapped, stateless bitcoin signing device using inexpensive, publicly available hardware components.  SeedSigner imports GENESIS private key binary via QR or seed phrase imports plus last word initial binary (a paper guide to GENESIS key offline seed phrase generation is here, and SeedSigner CompactQR spreadsheet is here).

02

Offline Spreadsheets

Modulo.network offers multiple spreadsheets for internet-isolated computers where users can generate public keys and simple addresses without macros, no add-ins and no array formulas.

03

Own Node

Import your key directly into your personal bitcoin node using either the seed phrase format or the Wallet Import Format (WIF).  Use the GUI or access your node's command-line interface or wallet configuration and your node will generate addresses from your private key while maintaining complete sovereignty.

04

Wallet Imports

Import your private key into any compatible non-custodial wallet such as BlueWallet or Phoenix wallet by using the wallet's "import" or "sweep" function. Simply enter your private key information when prompted, verify the successful import, and generate public addresses derived from your private key.
